Publish term results

Updated 3 July 2026

Publishing makes a class's results visible to parents and students. Only admins can publish.

Publish a term

  1. Go to Results and click the class.
  2. Select the term you want to publish.
  3. Click Publish term.

If every student has a complete set of scores, the term publishes immediately.

Publishing with gaps

If some students have missing scores, a Publish with gaps? dialog appears. It lists the affected students so you can decide whether to continue.

  • Click Publish anyway to publish despite the gaps. Students with missing scores will still appear in the results, but their totals and grades will be incomplete.
  • Close the dialog to go back and fill in the missing scores first.

After publication

Once published:

  • Parents and students can see the results immediately.
  • Subject teachers' score sheets become read-only.
  • Admins can still edit scores directly in the broadsheet.
  • The term shows a Published badge on the results page.

Unpublish a term

If results need to be corrected after publication:

  1. Go to Results, click the class, and select the published term.
  2. Click Unpublish.

Parents and students will no longer see results for that class and term. Teachers will be able to edit scores again. Re-publish when corrections are complete.

Note: Unpublishing does not delete any scores — it only hides the results from parents and students until you publish again.
