Go to Settings → Grading to set up how scores are weighted, what grades mean, and what appears on report cards. Configure this before teachers start entering scores.
Assessment components
Components are the columns in every score sheet — for example, CA1, CA2, and Exam. Each component carries a weight that determines how much it contributes to the final score.
- Click Add component to add a row.
- Fill in:
- Code — short label shown on the score sheet (e.g. CA1, Exam).
- Label — full name shown on the report card (e.g. Continuous Assessment 1, Terminal Examination).
- Weight — how much this component counts out of 100.
- Add as many components as you need. The weights must add up to exactly 100 — a running total is shown at the bottom.
- Click Save components.
Grading scale
The grading scale maps a score percentage to a letter grade and a remark (e.g. Excellent, Pass, Fail).
- Click Add band to add a row.
- Fill in:
- Letter — one of A, B, C, D, E, or F.
- Min % — the lowest percentage that earns this grade.
- Remark — the comment shown on the report card (e.g. Distinction, Credit, Fail).
- Add one band per grade level. Bands must cover 0–100 without overlapping.
- Click Save grading scale.
Position on report cards
Tick Show position/rank on report cards to include each student's class rank in the report card identity strip — for example, 3rd of 28. Untick to hide ranking.
